El Gouna International Squash Open 2026
Event
This event has ended. Dates for the next edition will be added here once they are announced.
One of the top-tier events on the PSA World Tour, the El Gouna International brings the world’s best men and women squash players to the Red Sea resort every spring. The 2026 edition ran from 4 to 10 April, with early rounds at the El Gouna Squash Complex and the later stages on an all-glass court at the Conference and Culture Center. Peru’s Diego Elias won the men’s title and Egypt’s Hania El Hammamy came back from two games to one down to take the women’s crown. Tickets for spectators are typically affordable and sold locally, and the resort setting means you can watch world-class squash in the evening after a day on the beach or diving. Egyptian players dominate the draws, so expect lively home crowds.
What to expect
In the early rounds several matches often run at once, so fans can wander between courts and see a lot of squash in one session. On the glass court, the seating is arranged close around the play so that every shot can be seen up close. Sessions run into the evening, and the atmosphere builds as the tournament reaches the final weekend.
Getting there
El Gouna lies on the Red Sea coast north of Hurghada. Most visitors fly into Hurghada International Airport, a short drive away by taxi or hotel transfer. Within El Gouna, shuttle buses, tuk-tuks and boats link the different parts of the resort.
